Mr. VanderMay is a founding member of The VanderMay Law Firm and has over eighteen years' experience practicing general civil litigation law. He is the primary litigation attorney for the firm. In this capacity, Mr. VanderMay handles or supervises all litigation preparation from initiation of a case through and including discovery, case development, motion practice, trial preparation, trial strategy and tactics and conduct of the trial itself. He also practices in the areas of business law, domestic relations and criminal defense, and has tried many cases in several states covering all listed fields of law.
Mr. VanderMay is an active member of the American Bar Association and its tort and insurance law, family law and litigation sections. He is also a member of the Oregon State Bar Association, the Marion County Bar Association, the State of Hawai'i Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and a life member of the Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
Mr. VanderMay was first admitted to the Oregon State Bar on April 23, 1992. He was admitted before the United States District Court for the District of Oregon on December 10, 1993; admitted before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on December 14, 1993; admitted to the Hawai'i State Bar on June 13, 1997; admitted before the United States District Court for the District of Hawai'i on October 14, 2003; admitted to the Nevada State Bar on November 5, 2004; and admitted before the United States District Court for the District of Nevada on December 7, 2004.
When not practicing law, Mr. VanderMay enjoys flying, sailing, and downhill skiing.
